Thought of the Day

It has been a looooong time since I last updated this blog. I have been rather lackadaisical to say the least, but I will do my best to keep this blog better updated. Anyway, now that I've gotten that out of the way, I'll move on to telling you all what's on my brain tonight. Basically, my faith in the American justice system is wavering just a tad. The reason for this you ask? Casey Anthony was acquitted! How in the name of all that is good and right did this happen? There seemed to be enough to put her away for a very long time, and besides that, does this look like a woman that's completely in her right mind? I say....not so much. Mind you, I'm no great legal expert. I will never claim to be. This just makes absolutely no sense to me. On a lighter note, why do people use credit cards to pay for inexpensive items. Do you really want to pay 18 % interest on Tic-Tacs? Or one of the gossip mags that rot the brains of millions daily? I don't think I would. That's what cold, hard cash is for. On that note, I bid you all adieu. For now.

Hello again, dear readers. Today's thought is about science and religion. More specifically in regards to the creation of the universe and us. Both the scientific theories and various creation stories are well known and both may have merit. It depends on a person's belief in a higher power, if they have one at all. There are those that are governed by pure reason. The cold, hard facts. Others have an unshakable faith in a higher power, in the stories of how they and the universe were made. The two sides have never truly coexisted and it's possible they never will. But when God said "let there be light" could that not be the Big Bang? Mind you, that's just my own personal opinion and my thought of the day.

This is my first blog ever! Some might ask how someone can surf the internet for so long and not join in on the fun that is blogging. It's probably because I've felt that I don't have anything to write about really. I don't have an exciting job or an exciting life in general. I do, however, have a brain that is always producing the most random thoughts. Everything from the mundane to the insane. Not that I'm insane or anything like that! Anyways, I suppose I get to what's on my mind today. And that is life on the planets that are being found with regularity in our neck of the cosmic woods. And before you scoff, good people, I'm not talking about little gray dudes with big ass eyes that fly around in hubcaps. I'm talking about microbes or even animal life. Just recently, a planet that might support life was found. Of course, there's no way of finding out if that's actually the case or not. Not that most really give a crap about a microbe on a planet 20 light years away. Besides, there's a great deal yet to be discovered on our own planet which doesn't always get much attention because they're not as exciting or whatever. Anyway, that's my thought of the day. I now return you to your regular programming.
